The Tao of Gaming

Boardgames and lesser pursuits

Ships by Wallace

Processional. JASE. Pretty, though. The may be notes of  interest with the timing of ship advancement/rusting, but I don’t feel inclined to explore it. It may suffer in comparison because I’d just played Food Chain Magnate, and while both are suitably unforgiving, FCM felt organic and somewhat unique (especially milestones and some occupations serving as the “bombs” that differentiate players), whereas Ships felt more like point salad and set collection.

To each their own, and Wallace has been more miss than hit with me for his entire career. So if you love him I think you’ll like this, and if you don’t, this changes nothing.

Rating — Indifferent.
