The Tao of Gaming

Boardgames and lesser pursuits

Celebrities with Celebrities

I had a thought: “Which famous celebrity, living or dead, fictional or real, would you want to play Celebrities with?”

Rules:

  • The celebrity is your partner. You don’t have to want to win, but if you do, you do.
  • We assume all Celebrities magically speak English and know common celebrities, but also know all the obscure ones in their field.

Ones I thought of:

  • Marcel Marceau — Killer skills in round 3.
  • Christopher Walken — Because it would be funny
  • Abraham Lincoln — History’s straight man
  • Nicollo Machiavelli — Just to see what he does.

The floor is open.

  1. Danny Kaye. Not only would he be a blast to play with (and would probably be very good at the game), but he knew my grandparents (actually, they knew his brother well, but also socialized with him occasionally). I would love to talk to him about them while we’re setting up rounds.

  2. Avoiding the historical figures I’d snag just to talk to them.

Oscar Wilde – I’d submit celebrities not so that Wilde would be able to guess them but to hear how he carved them up.
    Groucho Marx – Ditto.
Jonathan Winters – He’d kill in the first two rounds, and would still do well in the third.
