New Games

Wonder of Wonder! Well,

  • 7 Wonders
  • Labyrinth
  • Magical Athlete
  • Arena: Roma II

Will report back as info progresses. Although if anyone has any tips for learning/teaching Labyrinth, I’m all ears. The playbook walkthough was pretty damn good, though. I understand the basic “How” if not “Why”

  1. re: Labyrinth, I found the way was to struggle through a game, paying close attention to the processes on the player aids (which are good, albeit you can’t easily see you opponent’s information). It’s really not that hard, but there is a fair amount of little stuff and it’s not always clear what the heck is going on. The rules are in PDF on the web, I’d have your opponent grab them and skim them rather than trying to teach the game cold. It’s not *that* complicated, but in my opinion it’s just complicated enough.

  2. Finally pulled the trigger on Arena: Roma II huh? I actually just traded away the original Roma. When you play Roma II first, the original (with no text on the cards and the crappy drink-coaster dice track) just seemed blech.
